NextPacker was founded in 2023.
Our mission is to design lightweight, durable, and easy-to-use travel gear for everyone who moves between urban and outdoor environments.
"Next" represents continuous exploration and improvement; "Packer" represents all those who are packing, carrying, and setting off. Whether they are travelers, backpackers, urban explorers, or people who commute between different locations daily, we hope to make their journeys simpler.
We believe that a smooth journey begins with proper packing and carrying.
Therefore, every NextPacker product first focuses on a core goal: what problem it aims to solve. Hence, simple and accurate functionality, a restrained appearance, and materials and structures that can withstand long-term use are our long-standing design principles.
Initially, NextPacker started from a small table on a balcony. Designers, pattern makers, and sample masters gathered around, sketching ideas, making samples, repeatedly testing them, and then dissecting, modifying, and redoing them when issues were found.
Now, we have established our own team and workshop capable of independently handling design, development, prototyping, production, and quality control.
We adhere to strict manufacturing standards, inspecting each product individually. We also make mistakes, rework, and start over, but new standards are gradually established through addressing these issues.
A product is not just a combination of materials and craftsmanship; it connects designers, makers, users, and the environment.
We respect everyone involved in manufacturing, ensuring they work in a stable, fair, and respected environment; we select reliable and suitable materials and use recycled materials in appropriate products.
Human goodwill returns to manufacturing, reliable manufacturing allows products to be used longer, and long-term use reduces premature discarding and repeated production.
This is the virtuous cycle we aim to establish for makers, users, and the environment.
To this day, NextPacker is still a very small team, continuously learning.
But we always believe in the power of doing the right things, and doing things right.
